How do I buy an item?

You can buy an item in one of two ways:

Browse or search for the item you are looking for on our website

Type in the quantity you would like to buy and click ‘Add to Cart’. The default purchase quantity is ‘1’ but you may select more.  However, if you input a number higher than our current stock levels, you will only be able to order up to the amount we have in stock. Once you have clicked on ‘Add to Cart’ you will be taken to your shopping basket. You  can then either choose to continue shopping or proceed straight to checkout.

Once at the checkout, you will proceed with guest checkout unless you choose to register as a customer. With guest checkout, none of your details will be saved.

Follow the instructions on screen.  You will be able to review your order before your payment goes through and amend or cancel it if necessary.

Alternatively, you can phone us on 07840 748769 during our opening hours and we can place the order for you.

Is there a minimum order amount?


What do you currently have in stock?

All goods displayed on our website are in stock and ready to post.

Is what is pictured on the site a correct representation of the actual stock?

We take effort to ensure the items you see on our site are as close to colour match as possible.  Please note, shades may vary depending on your computer monitor. Should an item you receive not meet your expectations, we operate a 14 day ‘no quibble’ return/exchange policy.

How do I know my order has gone through?

You will receive a confirmation email to tell you your order has been received. Please use this to check that your order details and delivery address are correct. If you have not received an email from us within 24 hours, please call us on 07840 748769 or email us on and we will check our system to see if your order is on file.

I forgot to add something to my order.

Once an order has been shipped, we cannot amend the order.  If you contact us immediately after placing the order, we may be able to add item(s) before despatching.  Please phone us on 07840 748769 or email us on to see if we can assist you.

Can I use a different delivery address?

Yes, at checkout you will be able to use a separate delivery address to your billing details.  As we use ‘signed for’ delivery, we strongly encourage you to put in an address where someone will be available to sign for your parcel.

Can I cancel my order?

If your order has not been processed, we may be able to cancel your order before it is despatched. Please phone us on 07840 748769 to see if we have already posted your order. If your order has already been despatched, please follow the usual returns/exchange procedure.

Will my order be picked from one dye lot?

We only ever fill an order for yarn from one dye lot.   If we cannot fill your order from one entire dyelot, we will contact you to discuss whether you would like for us to hold your order while we source more yarn or whether you would like to cancel your order.

I need to purchase a particular dye lot.

Please call us on 07840 748769 or email us on BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER and we will check to see if we have your required dye lot in stock.

Do your prices include VAT?

Yes.  All prices shown are in GBP and include the current VAT amount.

What types of payment do you accept?

We use PayPal, which will accept all major debit and credit cards as payment, including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron and American Express.

What is the cost of delivery?

The cost of delivery is calculated during the checkout process.  You have the option of free in store collection on all items or the shippign charges as shown on our Delivery information page.

How is my parcel being delivered?

All of our UK orders are sent out by Royal Mail Second Class ‘signed for’ delivery.

When can I expect delivery of my parcel?

You should expect your order to be delivered within 3-5 working days (excluding the day of despatch).   You will receive a confirmation email when we have posted your item(s).

I haven’t received my order yet.

If your order has been despatched but hasn’t arrived within the expected time period, please phone us on 07840 748769 or email us on to see how we can assist you.

Please note: Royal Mail does not class a UK order as missing until 15 days from the date of despatch.

What are your return/replacement policies?

We operate a 14 day no quibble return policy from the date that you place your order, provided that the goods are returned in a saleable condition.   Please review our detailed returns/exchanges policy.

My yarn is knotty.

Knots do occur in yarn. This does not mean your yarn is faulty. If you have received a particularly ‘knotty’ ball please contact us on 07840 748769 or email us on and we’ll be happy to review the situation with you.
