We’ve had another batch of Brentwood Bags dropped in through the door. But these are no ordinary bags – they’ve been spruced up with bits of unwanted, donated haberdashery to transform them into ‘luxury’ totes! The Brentwood Belles WI, Holly Hobbies and Bentley St Paul’s ‘Bentley Babes’ have all been sewing beautiful bags that are being sold for £5.50 each – with all the money going back to the groups who made the shoppers (and to the Bag Project itself).
It’s super that the project has extended so that now not only is unwanted fabric being reused to create gorgeous tote bags, but also that leftover bits of ribbon and lace, fabric offcuts and spare buttons are being used to create interesting visual designs.
Each bag is unique, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. We hope you’ll come along to support this fantastic community recycling initiative created by one our fave customers, Claire Mackaness.
We can’t decide which bag we like the most, they’re all so lovely. Which one do you like the most?
